Dpt warns Naval and fishing communities
The Department of Meteorology says that the prevailing showery weather in southwest quarter is expected to worsen.
Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern Provinces, Galle and Matara districts.
The showers may also possibly extend to the Puttalam and Kurunegala districts, with heavy rainfall expected in some places.
Strong southwestern winds are also to be experienced over the country and suburban areas during the next two days.
Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in the face of these predictions.
