Actor Jagath Chamila has won an award at the New York International Film Festival.
Chamila won the Best Actor award at the New York International film festival for his role as Sammy in the film, Sameege Kathawa or Sammy's story.
Jagath was nominated alongside Edward Ferlong of USA, Sebastian Jason of Denmark and Omar Franco of Cuba.
The film Sam's story directed by Priyankara Vittanachchi was based on the book written by Elmo Jayawardene
