Eppawala workers stage hunger strike

Workers of the Eppawela state-run Phospate ccmpany have staged a hunger strike while standing on water tanks of the factory.

The workers resorted to a hunger strike demanding that action be taken against the discrepancies of the officials in the factory.

When News 1st contacted the Chairman of the company, he said that necessary steps will be taken in this regard in the future, following discussions with the protesters.
