One person was killed

One person was killed and 13 others were injured in an accident which took place in the Morapitiya area in Baduraliya on Sunday night. The police said that the accident occurred as the brakes of the bus plying from Mathugama malfunctioned, causing the bus to veer off the road and crash into a dansala. Nine of the injured have been admitted to the Baduraliya hospital. However, f of the victims were later transferred to the Naagoda General Hospital as their condition had worsened. The driver of the bus has been been taken into custody.
